ABOUT THE DESIGNER

Yvonne Lin is a Chinese-Canadian designer based in London, shaped by a cross-cultural perspective that blends Eastern stillness with Western modernism. She studied at Central Saint Martins and the Royal College of Art, refining a design philosophy grounded in quiet emotional depth. Before establishing her own label, she worked with luxury houses, developing a deep understanding of cutting, construction, and material integrity.
As the founder and creative director of YIBRI, she brings together her global background, technical training, and poetic sensibility to create clothing that feels grounded, thoughtful, and attuned to the rhythms of modern life.

WHAT

YIBRI is guided by the concept of vibration — vibri in Esperanto — the quiet energy that moves between body, material, and space. This subtle resonance shapes every decision we make.

We design for women who value essence over excess: independent, intuitive individuals who seek clarity, softness, and balance. Our collections explore the space between structure and ease, encouraging a slower, more intentional way of dressing — minimal, poetic, and crafted to endure.

At our core is a commitment to thoughtful construction and tactile honesty. We focus on longevity, comfort, and emotional depth, creating pieces that feel understated yet deeply considered.
YIBRI extends beyond clothing — it is an invitation to connect through curiosity, energy, and a more mindful way of living.

WHY

I’ve always been drawn to making — cooking, building, shaping things with my hands. As a child, I watched my mother craft our homes, flipping through her design magazines and observing how spaces can hold feeling. That was where the seed quietly formed: the desire to create something that carries warmth, intention, and meaning.

Having moved across countries, cultures, and landscapes, I learned that “home” is not a place but a gentle sense of belonging we carry within us. Each transition strengthened my belief in the emotional role of objects — how they can ground us, comfort us, and accompany us through change.

After graduating in fashion design, I often wondered why create in a world already so full. But the more I searched for clothing that felt honest — the right cut, the right texture, the right emotional clarity — the more I realised how rare it was. Many things existed, but few held essence.

YIBRI began as a response to that absence.
A way to bring forward what I could not find:
pieces that feel grounded and real; quiet yet resonant; warm, tactile, and intentional — garments that live with you and evolve through time.

For me, YIBRI is a homecoming — not to a physical place, but to a feeling of balance, presence, and quiet belonging.

WHO

YIBRI is created for someone who feels quality through both touch and emotion.
She values intention over noise, presence over performance.

Independent and intuitive, she moves with quiet confidence — noticing details others might overlook, choosing authenticity over approval, and seeing the essence behind materials, forms, and spaces.

Her rhythm is her own. Thoughtful in her decisions and sensitive to the world around her, she chooses less but chooses with clarity — seeking meaning rather than accumulation.

She dresses not to be seen, but to feel aligned with herself.

CO-EXISTANCE

Co-existence, for YIBRI, is a space where opposing qualities remain whole rather than blended. Unlike balance, which often softens or compromises the character of each side, co-existence preserves their integrity — allowing contrasts to sit together, honest and undiluted. In our material world, this appears through softness against rigidity, transparency beside density, and delicate fabrics held alongside textured, grounded ones. These contrasts are not diluted; they remain distinct, giving our clothing its quiet tension — pieces that feel both grounded and fluid, delicate and durable.

This philosophy extends into our understanding of womanhood. We design for the modern woman as she truly is: intuitive and multifaceted, moving between states with ease. We explore the co-existence of masculine and feminine energies without hierarchy — where sharp cutting meets gentle movement, and tailored clarity sits with poetic drape. We also honour the presence of both childlike curiosity and quiet sophistication within her — qualities that do not cancel one another, but coexist, enriching her depth and authenticity.

Co-existence shapes not only the emotion of our clothing, but also how it is made. We respect traditional craftsmanship for its precision and care, while embracing new technologies in textiles and workflow that bring comfort, lightness, and refined efficiency. The old and the new remain separate yet connected — each enhancing the other, informing garments that feel emotionally warm yet intelligently constructed.

For YIBRI, co-existence is a sensibility, not a technique. It guides how we cut, how we select fabrics, and how we build comfort into every piece. It is the quiet tension that gives our work clarity, tactility, and emotional warmth — allowing contrasting elements to live side by side, each amplifying the other rather than competing for space.
